Where are the Minorities in the Scene - a Panel Discussion
TES Meeting Tuesday, Jan 20th Where are the Minorities in the Scene - a Panel Discussion moderated by Lady Sabrina
NYC is known as a melting pot where people of all races and cultures meet and mingle. Yet in the BDSM scene, where everyone's kink is acceptable (or at least tolerated), true integration is rare. The scene is populated by people who feel more comfortable joining organizations where the focus is more on race, sexuality or gender identity than SM or D/s.
Will the need for this type of segregation become a thing of the past now that we have a Person of Color as the President of the US and more minorities gaining visibility and power everyday? Come, listen and express your opinions with this diverse panel as they discuss whether 2009 really is the year of change.
Location - 260 West 36th St - 3rd Floor - doors open at 7:30 PM
